Molecular Metal-Organic Materials Made Smart for Energy-Saving Applications

Speaker: Mohammad Omary, Ph.D.
Associate Professor of Chemistry, University of North Texas

Bio:

Dr. Omary received his B.S. from Yarmouk University in 1990, his M.S. from Yarmouk University in 1992 and his Ph.D. from the University of Maine in 1997. Dr. Omary was a postdoctoral fellow from 1999-2001 at Texas A&M University. Dr. Omary joined the UNT faculty in 2001. He was recently awarded early tenure and a promotion at the University of North Texas. He has been honored with the NSF CAREER Award in 2004, the I-APS Young Investigator Award and the 2006 Inter-American Photochemical Society Recipient. He has received major grants from numerous foundations including the U.S. Department of Energy for over $2 million dollars.
