"Is Your Nano Toxic?"

Gary W. Pankonien
CEO, Nano Risk Assessment, Inc.

(VIDEO CONFERENCED from Austin, TX)

Abstract:

The emerging field of nanotechnology is creating numerous new materials and applications which utilize the unique characteristics of this new fundamental building block for the next generation of applications, including paint, structural materials, and drug delivery. These materials and their interactions in their applications present potential biological, environmental, occupational and other unknown risks. It is unclear whether or not some of these materials pose a health or environmental hazard, or under what conditions they are toxic.
